Most of the men in the first wave never stood a chance. In the predawn darkness of June 6, 1944, thousands of American soldiers crawled down swaying cargo nets and thudded into steel landing craft bound for the Normandy coast. Their senses were soon choked with the smells of wet canvas gear, seawater and acrid clouds of powder from the huge naval guns firing just over their heads. As the landing craft drew close to shore, the deafening roar stopped, quickly replaced by German artillery rounds crashing into the water all around them. The flesh under the men’s sea-soaked uniforms prickled. They waited, like trapped mice, barely daring to breathe.

A blanket of smoke hid the heavily defended bluffs above the strip of sand code-named Omaha Beach. Concentrated in concrete pill boxes, nearly 2,000 German defenders lay in wait. The landing ramps slapped down into the surf, and a catastrophic hail of gunfire erupted from the bluffs. The ensuing slaughter was merciless.

Generative Fill is a game changer in PS

I've been playing around with the newest feature in Photoshop and am honestly speechless. It can do things that I've only dreamed about in my almost 30 years of using PS. It will enable me to clean up my images in a manner which was previously impossible.

I can't confirm this because I don't go there, but IF that subject line is true, is there any difference between supporting Twitter and supporting Fox News?
BTW, if this stirs up too much controversy, I will remove it.

I need help with the usage of a word.

If Joe Biden had an "R" behind his name, he would be beloved by repugs. He is old and white, two major requirements of repugdom.
But, because of the "D" behind his name, he and his policies are loathed and rediculed.
What is the word for this behavior? It's not irony but I can't find the correct descriptor.

Panthers will only sell tickets to U.S. citizens.

The Florida Panthers, in a bid to prevent their arena from being overrun by Toronto Maple Leafs fans during their second-round Stanley Cup playoff series, are restricting ticket sales for home games to residents of the United States.

The Maple Leafs are known for having a devoted fan base that regularly shows up in large numbers when the team, one of seven National Hockey League clubs based in Canada, plays on the road.

But fans of the Maple Leafs, who are in the second round for the first time since 2004, will now have to seek tickets through the secondary market if they want to cut into the Panthers' home-ice advantage.

Man, this just seems SHITTY to me. The Leafs should do the same thing.

The Mandalorian S3 is the best comedy available atm.

I have laughed so hard at all the horrible lines, incredibly bad storylines and horrendous acting skills. The ONLY reason I am still watching it at EP 22 is because wifey is enjoying it. Otherwise, I would have stopped long ago. And one final point...the Mandalorians are NOTHING but a cult. About 4 times an episode I annoy the HELL outta wifey by hollering CULT!!! This is the Way.

Can someone explain in a way my pea brain can understand why Democrats can't

gerrymander in the same manner repugs do? OR do we and I am just not aware? Seems to me as though ALL the gerrymandering is done in a manner that hurts Democrats. Please tell me if I am wrong. Thanks

VPN and DU question

I use Express VPN. When I am using Atlanta as my location, I can sign onto DU with no issues. When I use Dallas (which gives me faster download speeds) I get a 403 forbidden error.
Any fix for this?

Please help me understand why drag shows are NOT protected by the 1st amendment.

If people can march down the avenue proudly displaying NAZI paraphernalia, why can't people gather dressed as another gender? I don't get it.
