Can I make a suggest about the current contest

I know I am late to the contest this month, but as submissions are a bit thin on the ground, how about we all DU mail 3 people we know who have submitted photo's in the past that we have not seen submit yet? I can think of several off the top of my head. It maybe won't open it up to newbies but it may flesh out the entrants a bit. What do you think? Mail with a link to the submissions thread? It can't hurt?

A deep state fake pandemic to strip the global community of their freedoms...

I was listening to talk radio last night and this was the theory of one anti-masker who phoned in too proudly declare that he refuses to follow the law (UK) and wear a mask in shops. He was one of many angry voices declaring that the government is trying to steal their liberty by enforcing mask laws. My immediate thought, I bet they all voted for Brexit. Same in America with Trump. They all bought the 2016 cheese, when politicians with nefarious intent and ranting rhetoric, that told them you can’t trust experts and expertise. Those of us who smelt that cheese and realised it was a pungent as stinky very over ripe camembert look to science in a time of public health emergency and know that they know more than us about all of this. So, colour me surprised if you could point to any remainer or sane American voter who has a problem with wearing a mask to help protect their community. There can be no better example of the deep divides in our nations.

The 7 MAGA stages of COVID

Just when I think I could not despise these people more I surprise myself by uncovering new depths of disdain for them. Right in front to them Trump fakes the easiest Covid infection ever, putting yet more lives at risk by his reckless disregard for the severity of getting infected. The MAGA gaze on adoringly as he attempts to shrug off Covid-19 with $1 million medical treatment that they - not he - paid for, while an average thousand people, folks just like them, die every day – all of whom did not get the medical treatment Trump did. Due to his catastrophic administration, there are over 214K dead and counting, and yet still they proclaim: "What a guy. Four more years!"

They are so reckless not only would they happily get infected and die for Trump – they are willing to infect you and force you into potentially making that sacrifice also. Just horrid people.

What happens when the jackasses get out of control

MAGA Death Cult is the jackass left to run rampant, too stupid to realise the shit they are risking being blown up, and that they also will be taken out by the Tump blast of nasty.

Keeping the jackasses under control using decency and shame as levers has worked in the post world war 2 social construct, until recently. The right wing in America and in the UK has lost all sense of shame. Demands for them to act with a sense of decency fall on deaf ears. Us getting them to understand how shameful their behaviour is, having been given permission to be their worst self, is the equivalent of that soldier picking up that donkey...
