Just a simple suggestion:

All male allies make an appointment now for your vasectomy.*

15 minutes could save the rest of us 100% of our freedom.

(*Remember, they are reversible!)

Re Pascal's Wager and Not Voting

Has anyone ever tried talking someone into voting using the device Pascal used? I.e., you might as well believe in God because there is everything to gain and not much to lose. Or in this case, you might as well vote because there is everything to gain and not much to lose. Whereas if you don’t, there’s EVERYTHING to lose when fascists take over. (Or Hellfire & damnation if you’re Pascal — not too much of a stretch come to think of it.)

I’m not too good at posting graphics here, but instead of “believe in God” it would read “vote” and instead of “God exists” it would read “Yes, it actually makes a difference!”

TFG means ...

“The Former Guy” in common usage, I suppose, but whenever I read it I pronounce it “That Fucking Guy.”

Just wanted to share.

Any other good ones out there?

Maybe others have already posted on the subject. I don’t spend a lot of time on DU, so this might be redundant. But fun.

'I've had enough of being kicked around': Black delegation in FL House is on the offense

But this week, Black lawmakers demanded to be heard. They’d had enough. They’re now on the offensive. And they’re going to stay there.

A passionate group of Black Caucus members took action on the House floor Thursday, alarmed about a congressional map that cuts Black seats to only two in Gov. Ron DeSantis’ congressional redistricting plan.

“Hello Black Floridians at home today that’s watching this: the Florida House is about to cut your representation by 50 percent before lunch time,” state Rep. Travaris McCurdy, who represents part of Orange County, said during Thursday’s House session.
