It sure does seem like the most avid warmongers are the ones who have never actually had to face fire.

You have to wonder
We are only 10 years from the Great Recession and Wall Street and the Big Banks have had enough of the minuscule reins that the Dodd-Frank bill attempted to impose (I say that because the implementation of so many of its provisions were constantly being delayed). So here comes the Crapo bill written (by ALEC?) to ostensibly ease regulations on community banks.

Twelve Democrats support it. I wonder if they have even read the bill, much less analyzed its potential effects. Even Elizabeth Warren is pushing back against these Democrats. When a Democratic politician is more right-of-center than centrist, I have to wonder if we can't field candidates who have the general good in mind rather than that of the good of their donors in this post-Citizen United world. Do we truly need to back certain incumbent Democrats because of the fear that if they lose to a challenger in the primary, then the Republican candidate would likely win?

Former head of CIA spooks
I apologize if this has been previously posted.

When the form head of the CIA comes out of the shadows to speak on national TV, I pay attention. What John Brennan had to say and, even more importantly, what he particularly did not say, made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up even further.
