Why no Trump concert halls, hospital wings. University halls

Libraries, parks, schools, etc?

Most billionaires start spreading their wealth around by middle age.

Can any Trump point to one public institution they have built or.contributed to in a significant way?

I was at a. Rockefeller funded institution recently. Made me think of trump. Most billionaires start pouring their money into public efforts..even the evil Koch brothers.

Oprah, Geffen, gates, and others reach a point where they seem compelled to donate some of that money

Even in politics. Trump sought to benefit himself. The trump.family is truly unique

Controversial racist Ex-Louisiana Sheriff Accused Of Sexually Abusing Teens

Controversial Ex-Louisiana Sheriff Accused Of Sexually Abusing Teens
Allegations against Jack Strain reportedly surfaced during a federal probe into a now-defunct work release program he supervised.

ST. TAMMANY PARISH, La. ― Former sheriff Rodney “Jack” Strain, who received national scorn after making racist comments on TV, is reportedly facing allegations he sexually abused teenagers while in office.

“This is very disturbing and shocking to me, but not only to me but this whole parish,” current St. Tammany Sheriff Randy Smith told New Orleans’ WWL-TV. “When you have allegations of sexual abuse involving minors, it’s sickening.”

According to Smith, the sexual abuse allegations, which were first reported by WWL-TV and The New Orleans Advocate, surfaced during a federal corruption probe into a now-defunct privately-run inmate work release program Strain supervised.

“Some of these alleged allegations occurred when these individuals were much younger, in their teenage years,” Smith said. “How far back, I don’t know.”

Federal investigators said allegations reportedly involve at least four teens, according to Smith.

World Champion Fencer Under Fire For Racist Slant-Eye Gesture While In Japan

The picture, taken while in Japan for a competition, is accompanied by a caption which translates to “That’s how I feel after having eaten 🍣🍚🍜 for a week ... but at least it was worth it!” It has since been removed from Lambertini’s Instagram.

Those of Asian descent were quick to call out the racism behind the post, flooding Lambertini’s account with criticisms. Jimmy O. Yang of “Silicon Valley” even posted about the photo on his own Instagram, urging people to “take a stance against this.”

“This type of overt ignorance is absolutely unacceptable,” Yang said.

Criticisms of Lambertini spilled over to other social media platforms as well, with Twitter users also pointing out the athlete’s offensive post.

Cop Demoted After Dumping His Retired K-9 Partner At Animal Shelter

Cop Demoted After Dumping His Retired K-9 Partner At Animal Shelter
The Jackson, Mississippi, police department said canine officers are “family and we do not feel they deserve anything less than a loving home in retirement.”

A Mississippi police officer has been busted down to patrol duty after ditching his retired K-9 partner, Ringo, at an animal shelter, according to police officials.

The Jackson Police Department assumed that officer Carl Ellis, who was Ringo’s handler, had continued to care for the former K-9 officer at his home after the dog’s retirement in October. Officials were later surprised to learn otherwise after Ringo’s initial trainer, Randy Hare, spotted the dog up for adoption on the shelter’s website.

“You get into this business because you appreciate dogs and what they’re able to do,” Hare told WAPT-TV. Ringo should never have landed in the shelter, added the trainer, who said dogs can often be treated like “equipment” by police departments. Hare has adopted Ringo.

“The Jackson Police Department respects and holds our canines with high regard just as we do any other officer within our department,” the department said in a statement provided to the Jackson Clarion Ledger. “They are family, and we do not feel they deserve anything less than a loving home in retirement.”

The 10-year-old dog sniffed out drugs for nine years for his department, and was also used in search and rescue operations, according to the newspaper.

When Ringo and fellow canine officer Alpha were retired in October, a Jackson detective said at the ceremony that they “served the city very well” and were responsible for the seizure of narcotics worth hundreds of thousands of dollars. He added: “They can be a dog now.”

Trump routinely says things that aren't true. Few Americans believe him

https://www.washingtonpost.com/graphics/2018/politics/political-knowledge-poll-trump-falsehoods/?utm_term=.7a1faa966a26

For months, President Trump has claimed that U.S. Steel has announced plans to build more than six new plants. Throughout the midterm election, he repeatedly said that Democrats had signed onto an “open borders” bill. And he has long charged that millions of fraudulent votes were cast in the 2016 election.

None of these claims is true. What’s more, most Americans don’t believe them, according to a new Washington Post Fact Checker poll.

Fewer than 3 in 10 Americans — including fewer than 4 in 10 Republicans — believe these or several other prominent claims by the president, according to the poll.

The poll sought to determine what Americans believe — the truth or the president. The Post has never conducted this type of poll before and it serves as the most comprehensive examination of whether Trump’s false and misleading claims have taken root among the broader American public.

----------

Only among a pool of strong Trump approvers — about 1 in 6 adults in the survey — did majorities accept several, though not all, of his falsehoods as true.

False claims commonly made by Democrats are more widely believed than those made by the president. For instance, 46 percent of adults incorrectly believe there are more people in prison for selling or possessing marijuana than for all violent crimes, an assertion made by Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren in June. That compares with 22 percent who correctly said violent criminals were more common in prison.

Where Americans get their information is a significant factor in determining what they believe.

Flashback: Trump told Ohio factory workers not to sell their homes

At a 2017 rally in Youngstown, Ohio, President Trump promised residents that manufacturing jobs would be returning to the state, telling the crowd: "Don't move. Don't sell your house."

Why it matters: General Motors announced Monday (nov 2018) that it will "unallocate" multiple North American plants in 2019, including Lordstown Assembly in Warren, Ohio. Rep. Tim Ryan (D-Ohio), whose constituency includes Youngstown and Warren, called on Trump to "keep his word," claiming the president "has been asleep at the switch and owes this community an explanation."
