"Cheryl, Cheryl, Cheryl! Don't fall into the second-hand stuff. Really"

Nancy Pelosi just smacked down a reporter who asked: "Given the Republicans have been arguing that yesterday's witnesses heard things second-hand, I wonder if you think it would be worth waiting for those who have heard things first hand like John Bolton to testify ..."

Pelosi cut her off mid-question:

""Cheryl, Cheryl, Cheryl! Don't fall into the second-hand stuff. Really. That is such a fraudulent proposition put forth by the Republicans. And they know it. I just won't even dignify it. I just won't."

Boom!

DC Circuit rejects Trump's request for full panel review of the order to turn over 8 years of taxes

After a three-judge panel ruled 2-1 that Trump must turn over his taxes to Congress, Trump's attorneys moved for a rehearing en banc - by all of the active judges on the Circuit Court. Today, the Court said no, they would not review the decision.

Now Trump's only recourse is to appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court.

Congress can seek eight years of President Trump’s tax records, according to a federal appeals court order Wednesday that moves the separation-of-powers conflict one step closer to the Supreme Court.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit let stand an earlier ruling against the president that affirmed Congress’s investigative authority on a day when the House was holding its first public impeachment inquiry hearing.

Trump’s lawyers have said they are prepared to ask the Supreme Court to intervene in this case and in several other legal battles between the president and Congress.

The D.C. Circuit was responding Wednesday to Trump’s request to have a full panel of judges rehear a three-judge decision from October that rejected the president’s request to block lawmakers from subpoenaing his longtime accounting firm.

Deval Patrick, Ex-Governor of Massachusetts, Is Considering White House Bid
Former Gov. Deval Patrick of Massachusetts has told Democratic officials that he is considering making a last-minute entry into the 2020 presidential race, according to two Democrats with knowledge of the conversations, the latest evidence of how unsettled the party’s presidential primary is less than three months before the Iowa caucuses.

Mr. Patrick has told party leaders that he doesn’t think any of the candidates running have established political momentum and that he thinks there is an opening for somebody who can unite both liberals and moderate Democrats, according to Democrats who have spoken to him.https://www.nytimes.com/2019/11/11/us/politics/deval-patrick-2020-president.amp.html

Oh, HELL no! Mrs. Betty Bowers did NOT go there, did she?

https://twitter.com/BettyBowers/status/1192494855777374208 Well, maybe she did.

Love how @DonaldJTrumpJr goes on #TheView with a mistress he abandoned his family for to brag about being a dad.

Then accuses @WhoopiGoldberg of making excuses for rapists when his career is making excuses for the guy who raped his mom. #TrumpFamilyValues

Now hear this: Exercising the House's inherent contempt authority would result in no arrests, no

payment of fines in the foreseeable future, extensive litigation and not a word of testimony or a page of documents the inherent contempt charge would supposedly try to obtain.

Insisting that the House "LOCK 'EM UP!!!" or "FINE THEM!!!" may sound good and tough to some, but that route is a useless detour that leads to a dead end.

There's a reason the House isn't going that direction. And it's not that they're weak or scared or don't understand their powers as well as people instructing them on the internet do.

Please let them continue doing what they're doing.
