I'm going to be offline for a few days, but I just wanted to say that anyone I've offended in the past few days with my passionate posts regarding the mess in the ME, I do apologize, it's not my intention to piss off DU members, we all want the same thing here, a viable solution to the conflict in the ME and everywhere else.
I love you all and everyone stay frosty and keep our eye on the prize, the election of VP Harris and Gov. Walz and sending the putrid piece of shit to the dustbin of history.

Shohei Ohtani makes history, becoming first MLB player in 50-50 club; social media reacts
Los Angeles Dodgers superstar Shohei Ohtani joined an exclusive club Thursday night. He smacked two home runs against the Miami Marlins and swiped two bases to become the first player ever to hit 50 homers and steal 50 bases in the same season.
Only a few players in MLB history had even achieved a 40-40 season, and no one had ever achieved 45-45. Ohtani blew both of those out of the water in his first season in Chavez Ravine. Ohtani was already considered the best player, and the most exciting to watch, but this solidified his case as a worldwide superstar.

He went 6 for 6 with 2 doubles, 2 stolen bases, 3 homers in a row, 10 RBI's.
And, from what I understand, he's also going to pitch in the playoffs.

Venezuelan security forces surround Argentine embassy after opposition members take refuge inside
The pair joined four other Venezuelan opposition figures who have taken refuge in the embassy this year.
One of the men, Pedro Urruchurtu, the international coordinator for opposition leader María Corina Machado, wrote on X that there were patrols of hooded and armed officials surrounding the diplomatic building.
The other, former deputy Omar González, also posted on X, writing: “They cut off the electricity service to the Argentine embassy in Caracas, which is currently besieged by agents of the Sebin (Bolivarian National Intelligence Service) and other state security bodies.”

Tyrants will be tyrants and Maduro is proving this, he stole the election and now is going after his political opponents with state security forces.
I wouldn't be surprised if he orders his thugs into the Embassy to kidnap those hiding inside.
