At some point over the next week or two,Trump is going to either say, on camera or on Twitter, something along the lines of his convention was the greatest convention of all time but the media only spoke about the hurricane.
A Cat 4 hurricane is going to smash into the 4th most populous city in the United States and I can already see Trump blaming it for not getting enough media attention for his speech or if he doesn't get a bump in the polls from it.
Something to watch for with the Census
We know Trump and Co are trying to reduce population counts in blue states. However, I'm pretty sure they are also looking to artificially inflate numbers in red states.
I live in a very red state. Today a Census taking came by. We told her that we had already filled out a census online, but she still had us on her list as needing to be surveyed. She said that this was happening a LOT. A little later my wife read a FB post to me about a neighbor having filled out an online Census, being sent a mail census that she filled out, and now having a Census taker come by her house.
Is it this inefficient and poorly managed everywhere, or is this a designed attempt to get extra reps/EC votes in safely red states?
Biden gave a great speech........but
thanks to Republicans MAGA and ROSE saying that he is a dementia patient who can't speak a complete sentence the expectations were so lowered and so exceeded that this speech will be remembered as one of the greatest speeches of all time.

The top four countries for cases, and it's not very close, are all run by fascists. Coincidence?
Who are the Republicans in the Senate that we can work with?
Let's say that things on election day are close to what we see in polling now.
Biden wins the Presidency and Democrats net gain 3 or 4 seats in the Senate, taking the majority.
There is still going to be the issue of the filibuster and we aren't going to get rid of it (probably unwise to do and wouldn't have the votes).
So, to pass our agenda outside of what we could do with reconciliation we would need 9 or so Republicans to come along. Who are the ones that Biden could entice to vote with us to get something done, and what could we offer to bring them along?
I'll start first with the two most obvious ones.
Mitt Romney and Lisa Murkowski.
Both of these are immune from primary challengers and are known as moderates in the Senate. Romney will never lose an election in Utah and Murkowski has proven that she can win reelection even after losing the primary and launching a write-in campaign. She's untouchable in and Alaska general election.
Who are the others? I know most of these guys are scum, but there has to be a few out there.

That's the line we will look back on and say it was the moment Trump lost reelection.
He said nothing less than, yeah thousands of Americans are dying each week, but who gives a shit?
