In Poland, there is a LARP group @4thofJulyLarp that roleplays as contemporary Americans. They just come together and show off their most American-ish outfits and act out various scenarios that they imagine would happen in the USA. It’s brilliant. On Friday, July 22, the Oglala Sioux Tribe and its President, Kevin Killer, issued a statement demanding that the Jesus is King Mission leave the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation after pamphlets were distributed that promoted that Jesus, not Tunkasila (a Lakota word for Creator), is the “true god.”
“This week the Jesus is King Missionary was found distributing material that literally demonizes the Lakota Culture and Faith,” said the Oglala Sioux Tribe in a statement. “This is unacceptable and completely disrespectful. It is the view of the President and Council that these ‘pamphlets’ seek to promote Hate instead of Peace. Hate has no place on Oglala land.”
The pamphlets also had statements asking what late American Indian Movement (AIM) activists and leaders Russell Means, Crow Dog, and Black Elk believed in. “What did Russell Means, Crow Dog, and Black Elk believe?” the pamphlet read.

A 40-year-old woman is facing charges after Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said she fired multiple shots at a car during a road rage incident on Tuesday.
Gonzalez said Nazly Ortiz is charged with aggravated assault. The man she was with, identified as Benjamin Greene, is charged with assault. According to Gonzalez, both were arrested.
Both appeared in court early Wednesday morning but bond was not set.
The attorney representing the couple said the two work together running a cleaning business. It was revealed that Green is a disabled Navy veteran.
Part of the incident was captured on video by a witness.
