My husband told me that one of his co-workers got suspended for being sick and missing too many days.
Here is the full story. My husband works for a factory now they have done a lot to keep people safe at work. Space people 6 feet apart where possible everyone is required to wear a mask and temperatures are taken 2 times a shift. I think they are very good rules. BUT this is where the company is slime.
Before going back to work Everyone was required to sign a paper stating if they felt sick ( cough, sneezing, fever, etc,) they will not come to work and call off. A co-worker called saying he was sick he was told to get a covid test and not come back until the results came in. takes a few days. He goes back to work with a negative test. So the company now suspends the co-worker for getting too many points for missing too many days. They said he wasn't sick.
My husband doesn't know if their union is going to fight or this employee. You can have a cough or something and be sick but because it wasn't covid they will now hold the missing days against the employee. My husband said after that he doesn't care how sick he is he is going in.
I am seriously wondering how many other companies are doing that to employees.

Did the store close down so the place can be cleaned?
If I had managed the store I would have called the police to have the protesters. If the store has a mask requirement why didn't they enforced it? If my fat body set into a store without a shirt and shoes They would prevent me from going into the store and if I proceeded they more than likely would have called the police.
And let's bring BLM into this conversation because People are so quick to call the police and kick people out of stores over imagine issues by minorities Yet White people making asses out of themselves and basically spreading a potential illness that can cause death can go thru that store like that without consequence than America really has a massive issue.
As a white person I am angry ashamed and embarrassed by their action and lack of punishment. Where do these corporations stand when it comes to safety of not only shoppers but their employees. If they can't be on the right side of covid and BLM I will start boycotting.
Barr & Trump and the election
Barr's speech was scary as hell. We should be very concern and we should be seeing Op-Eds demanding Barr's Firing not resignation. But Trump is worse and both of these men will get worse as the election gets closer.
I have a friend who has a master's degree in Political Science and I just got off the phone with her. She said. Be very watchful and she hopes reporters are more vigilant. She said watch who suddenly gets protection ie: security /secret service and who suddenly loses any protection they had. She also told me her brother who is an officer in the military not only indicated that the reports of people in the military having conversations about unlawful orders is true. some in the small group he works in are very concern about those who are in the military who have certain view that favors white supremacy. He told her Putin's ultimate wet dream would see our own military turning onto each other.
My friend said if Barr and Trump are serious they will take bolder action after Congress goes into recess.
She said her fear is that one of the first people Barr tries to go after is Hilary.
I told her she is probably over reaction and over analyzing.
But after watching clips of Barr's speech and seeing clips of Nicole Wallace I am seriously wondering How far Barr will go.

I had to process that interview with Woodward and I review things and the release recordings. I am not blaming Woodward for not coming forward sooner. Trump was calling him and giving all this information. I humbly suggest that Trump thought he could con an esteem journalist like Woodward to his "side" so if someone as respected as Mr. Woodward started writing favouring Trump's talking points it would be a win for Trump.
You want to be angry be angry at all those who enable Trump daily who know and see everything and yet they do not quit and call a press conference warning people of just how dangerous Trump is!
Blame Bolton, Kelly even Mattis who after leaving and right now remain silent after seeing all the Bullshit they saw! Why are they not shaking McConnell and the GOP into protecting our country and Constitution.
Anyone else have a Biden/ Harris sign in a red state or county?
Okay. Hubby and I are going to be donating this upcoming Friday to Biden/ Harris. Had to get caught up on bills. Now we are talking about getting our first political sign.
I am nervous for these reasons.
1--Hubby works two different shifts leaving me alone in the house at least 8 hours and as we live in Washington County which for the most part would be considered a Red County.
2-- 2 houses away from us is a Trump supporter with a flag.
Maybe I am paranoid but I do worry about someone harassing me when Hubby isn't around or targeting the house.
As to why hubby and I never had a political sign before we never felt the need to vocalize/display our views. We do however feel if Biden is not elected this time we will see the end of our democracy. We do talk to our republican family members about the issue.
EDIT: Thank you all for your thoughts. We will be getting a sign on Friday!

If Saturday Night Live does another season this Fall They need Dana Carvey and Alex Baldwin do a Church Lady skit. I would love to see Cavey say to Baldwin's Trump. Project much, Satan? Or I think someone is projecting his plans for a rigged election onto the Democrats.

I'm sorry if I am wrong but to me at this point and close to election anyone voting for Trump is a racist. The other reasons people give are either excuses they give to others or themselves to justify support for Trump.
