Old codgers, of which I am, will never understand how young and younger folks are attached to their phones and social media.
I laugh everytime I see a post on here about how the youth won't vote. the youth look at voting at a voting station as ancient outdated grandparent style life. the same as the old days of going to a polka hall on a Sunday..
If you want 90% of the youth (35 and younger) to vote, get it set up on an online vote. I know it'll be hard, but this is their life. We have to evolve as a society and start opening our eyes.

My take on the new jobs report
It looks like the jobs numbers softened for October at 150,000 jobs created.
In my 35+ career I've been laid off 4 times. Each time it was in October or early November.
I think think the economy just naturally softens this time of year, for whatever reason.

rising ocean solution
We know the ocean levels are rising. We also know the fresh water is at a premium.
So we could kill 2 birds with one stone. We could divert as much fresh water as possible to some new huge reservoirs off the Amazon, Mississippi, other huge rivers. The fresh water doesn't need to get to the ocean as it only helps increase sea levels.

Here's a new angle for abortion rights.
I'm mid 50s and have had several long term relationships since my divorce 23 years ago.
Here's a real life scenario that affects women of a different age. The repub try and throw religion into it; killing God's children, taking a life away. etc.
To stop their arguments let's talk about other women affected......older women. in my older dating years I've dated several women who had kids that were raised, out of college, married, kids of there own. But, they were still able to have kids.
Why would these women need to go through with an unwanted pregnancy? they already did their motherly duty (very well). What argument can a repub make about that. Maybe this is a new angle that gives understanding to situations where pregnancies aren't wanted.
