China, as a power, is dying. All they have left is propaganda, censorship, and bluster.

Pelosi's trip was the proof.

I get told all the time I know nothing about China. I only lived there for 12 years and married a Chinese national. The CCP has backed itself into a corner over the South China Sea, Taiwan, and their economy.

To admit anything that resembles a march back is a loss of face. It's better to keep plowing on in the wrong direction than admit a small defeat or a mistake. Their society and their army have been instructed to let the thinking by done by those in power and as a result, those in power have literally killed the goose that laid the golden egg.

This has been Chinese culture since the CCP took over and it's all over the population. The Chinese do not do anything that could be construed as weakness. They have a very tenuous hold on power as the house of card economy implodes at a fast rate.

To keep up their power, the CCP will lash out at critics worldwide, say there is an anti-Chinese bias worldwide, stomp their feet, and ultimately do nothing except censor anything that makes them look slightly bad. So they beat the drums of war knowing their people will get distracted in the jingoism and xenophobia the CCP has made part of their agenda.

As their manufacturing slows down (due to their covid zero policy, similar to the Great Leap Forward, as their banking system loses all its trust, and as their house of cards real estate market collapses, China will do what all countries with unaccountable, above the law leaders do. . .drum up wars, namely with Taiwan, Hong Kong, and anyone who violates their idiocy in the South China Sea.

China is the thinnest of paper tigers. They are good at dominating unarmed people and bullying nations they consider weaker and inferior. . .but when pressed by someone stronger, the CCP whines complains, hides behind the line "the Chinese people will not stand for this" and then gets passive-aggressive.

It's over. China will not recover and has been exposed by Pelosi's trip. Good work, Madame Speaker.

NFL suspends Deshaun Watson 6 games for personal conduct violations

The NFL suspended Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson for six games on Monday for violating the league’s personal conduct policy.

The decision was rendered in response to the NFL’s investigation of multiple women who filed civil lawsuits against Watson before he settled with 23 of them; one of those suits remains. The women, whom Watson hired for massages, accused the QB of sexual misconduct or sexual assault.

Watson will be eligible to return to the Browns in Week 7.

As part of its probe, the league’s investigators spoke to at least 10 of the women who originally filed litigation against Watson. A source told Yahoo Sports the NFL obtained information from the pretrial process in those civil lawsuits, none of which was sealed by presiding judges. The pretrial process included Watson sitting for multiple depositions and ultimately concluded on June 30.
