Virginia Truth

I am sure we all know this, but I have not seen it posted in full detail. Of course the MSM is ignoring it, too. One time, since 1973, the sitting president has enjoyed the presence of a same party cohort in the Governor's mansion in Virginia. That was in 2013 (Obama/TCM).

In 2013, TCM beat Ken Douchenelli (facist/bigot/moron), but no one seems to recall why. There was a far right, less racist, libertarian candidate on the ballot, too, and no Princesses or queens of narcissism on our side.

Combined, Douche, and the Libratarian, received 52-53% of the vote. Terry got around 48 to Douche's 47ish. We had princess dip shit running to the left this year, though she was not enough to change the winner. No Libertarian this year (mistake).

Beyond that, Reagan and Bush HW won by 25 (1984) and 20% (1988). Guess what, Dems took and kept the governorship the next year and no Democratic presidential candidate won Virginia until 2008.

The real surprise is that we kept NJ for two terms in a row, for the first time since the 70's. I know I am preaching to the choir, but the devil (MSM) don't (syc) listen.

The point, whoever has the WH can count on like minded Virginians to sit on our asses or, to a far lesser extent, vote for the enemy because "balance" (really stupidity) . I wish there was more to it, but The Lover's State hates making sense.

VA Election Thoughts-3rd party matters

Since 1973, the VA governorship has gone to the party not in control of the WH, aside from 2013. Well, no one mentions the 3rd party effect in 2013.

"On April 2, 2013, McAuliffe became the Democratic nominee, as he ran unopposed for the nomination. In the general, he campaigned against Republican nominee (and sitting Attorney General of Virginia) Ken Cuccinelli, and the Libertarian nominee, Robert Sarvis."

McAuliffe won 47.8% of the vote; Cuccinelli and Sarvis garnered 45.2% and 6.5%, respectively. He broke a 40-year trend and was the first candidate of the sitting president's party elected governor of Virginia since 1973." -AP

So, an outspoken Nazi and a libertarian combined for the majority of the vote. The point; TMC got a higher percentage of the vote this time, and, short of running against a self proclaimed Nazi and a 3rd party Right Winger, nobody has defied this trend in 40 years, but TMC was the closest.

Sorry if it is a duplicate. I turned off everything around 6 PT last night. I just talked myself into ignoring schrodinger's cat principle.

AP News Exit Poll

https://apnews.com/article/virginia-election-ap-votecast-survey-75520c5c9a245bee384526abc138a61a

This is a much more optimistic exit poll for us Dems.

56% say Virginia economy is in good shape (YoungKlan made it a focus in the campaign).

6 in 10 favored legal and fair access to abortion.

The economy and Pandemic were the top two issues.

More info at the link.

Edit: I do not put as much into exit polls as some, but I need something right now.
