After Abbotts presser (most of which I turned off) the sane voters among Texans should

hold a huge protest march against him. Beto said exactly what needed to be said. No one should fall for this BS about mental health. I believe good medical care should be given to anyone suffering from mental health but I refuse to hear the fake pleas coming from those who fought against healthcare for all in their states and refused to fund access to healthcare including mental healthcare when they could.
One of the biggest impediments to sane gun legislation in this country would be eliminated if everyone standing behind that lying Abbott would just resign from public office and disappear.

Biden should declare a National Emergency and enact some gun legislation by EO.

It is a national emergency and the President should be able to halt the sale of assault weapons, certain ammunition etc. Nationalize shit if necessary. He has nothing to lose. I doubt he would be re-elected or even if he would run again. No matter, he should govern like he doesn't give a shit about the politics of the situation. The Senate is already standing in the way of his agenda, what else could happen?
