Another 60 Minutes story that made me cry.

I watched the 60 min story below twice.

It struck me to the bone. I had what might be called an epiphany. I believe i now understand my own feelings of sadness, fear, remorse about the social and political environment surrounding us today. What sets my folks apart from the majority. At least, this is how I feel. I may only be speaking for myself but I believe others can identify similar feelings.

"My folks" are (in order of dominance from my DNA testing) African, Native American, Scotch, Welsh, Irish. But of course, I am African American by accepted categorizing so my folks are black Americans for generations going back to at least the early 1700s.

What sets most of us apart? To me it's that we long for and live for RELATIONSHIPS, not OWNERSHIP.

Mr. Miller bought that home after much prodding from a sibling to set aside a place where his family (relationships) and extended family could meet for special occasions to enjoy each other, to love one another, to laugh, sing, pray and support one another. It wasn't to just OWN a piece of property. It wasn't about CRT or anything else except to build and nurture relationships. It's about belonging, being accepted, being loved and mutual respect.

Others want possessions, ownership, power over others, things and prizes, greed, inhumanity.

"My folks" want RELATIONSHIP. And if you don't want RELATIONSHIP and all that it includes, you ain't "my folks."

Do we not realize there are limits to growth? And there should be limits to profits.

More, more, more.. greed, greed, greed. suffer, suffer, suffer.
Will we ever learn?

How did Abbott spend their stimulus money? Did they receive it.

There needs to be a real investigation on how most of those large corporations spent their stimulus money. Weren't they supposed to use the funds to keep staff employed and working?

FINALLY!! She says the loud part louder! We must break up the food and other monopolies in this country. Especially in our food supply.

And their should be something done about PRICE FIXING by the petroleum industry. Every damn gasoline station within a 50 mile radius has the same damn high prices on all three grades of gasoline.

And someone media outlet ought to explain how Trump's changes to NAFTA has come back to bite us now with the shortage of infant formula. (curtailed import of baby formula from Mexico and Canada).

The media hyped the possibility also, making almost a crime to be a Muslim, which Obama was NOT.

I am not ranting at all against Muslim but the hypocrisy and outright racism of the GOP and MAGA and THE MEDIA incense me!

Haven't even heard a whisper about this. It's not even about whether or not any man or woman of Islamic faith should hold any government office because I believe many are much more qualified and fit than some so-called Christians. But this the rub: That Trump would be the lying POS to endorse and fully support a real Muslim to hold any public official office is making me throw up as his MAGA base supports him in this:

History is important and we should never turn our backs on anyone's hisotry.

The resilience of people is shown in some of the most awesome documentaries on Netflix. "West by Orphan Train" and "Four Seasons Lodge" among the best.

We will need all this resilience and more to make it through the coming years with the MAGAs and the Trump GOP. Buffalo is not going to result in changes to the US love affair with guns and hate. We are going to have to live through it and fight our democracy and what is right as best we can. GOTB!!!

Every GOP spokesperson I heard today speak about the Buffalo massacre addressed only the mental

condition of the shooters as a means to stop gun violence. None, nada, Zero would even answer a question about let alone give a voluntary solution to the issue of curbing gun violence. Nothing about controlling access to guns, registrations, controlling ammunition type, magazines etc. NOTHING!! The GOP and other gun humpers care about human life. Just their power to kill.

Good info on how the dollar is affected. Iran and Cuba sanctions mostly for political reasons at home.

So when will it be time to take FOX and Friends, Tucker, Hannity and others off the air.

Shouldn't Murdoch be sued or at least be stripped of his US citizenship for allowing the media outlets that he owns aid and abet an insurrection and inciting racist hate crimes?
