depends on what corporate greed decides among other things. Abortion ban is not going up and down mainly red states. The women there know two things: abortion bans are not going away unless we have Dems in control of both chambers. If we do not have a viable democracy, inflation is the least of our worries., They have taken away abortion. Don't let them take away our VOTE!

I had forgotten a lot of the the evil players back in 2007 forward. Great job at documenting he genesis of the MAGAs. Shame on the lawmakers who supported this demented evil. Those who are left in positions of power ought to be voted out of office in Nov.
Is it time to be alarmed again? Recently had phone calls and emails from friends (9) who now have
COVID. All contracted over the past 10 days. ALL had stopped wearing face masks unless required to do so by the venues visited.
WTF?? I haven't been in their presence for months. In the past, they all wore masks and all have been vaxed and boosted. Also heard from family traveling south to help with IAN cleanup and assistance. Three out of 19 have tested positive with the test kits they are travelling with. One is really sick.
It seems that a resurgence is happening. Anyone else hearing similar stories. Also, a virtual book club to which I belong that zooms once a month had to be cancelled because four out of the 7 members were to sick with COVID to want to talk too much. A common symptom my friends are reporting as well as my family is hoarseness and problems speaking. All complain of feeling overly tired.

When they say "crime," we say RICO!
If the GOP wants to make crime one of their campaign issues, we just need to re-frame it as RICO crimes that the GOP want to ignore. It's RICO crimes that will threaten to take down our democracy through organized RW groups that take their orders from the TFTIG and his organized cabal of insurrectionists. They are well organized to launder and funnel money through their PACs and various other shadowy organizations.
The Dems must cede no ground to any of the campaign meme the GOP is trying to use now. For example, if we lose our democracy, "inflation" will be the least of our worries. There may be even organized criminal behavior among many corporations and their CEOs as they work behind the scenes to illegally collude on price gouging. Where is the evidence you ask? Just look at the prices that have risen for no apparent reason except "because they can." Or the evidence needed is as good as the evidence the MAGAs have on stealing the 2020 election, HRC running pedophilia ring out of a DC Pizza shop. We have to learn to play the game as hard as they do.
Yes, Hunter may have used drugs and lied about it on gun application and/or he may be guilty of non-reporting of his taxes. Over the period of years he is being accused of ill-gotten gain it seems to be a few million/year. Hardly comparable to 2B given to Kushner by the Saudis. And if Hunter, a son of a sitting President can be indicted, there ought to be no problem with indicting proven guilty "children" of a former, corrupt President who encourage his followers to carry out an insurrection against the government.
Step up candidates and use everything in your legal campaign arsenal. Being "decent" doesn't win. Telling the truth with facts and being fiercely competitive is what is needed now. STEP IT UP!

Do they know how many men and women and children actually were killed or died during the Civil War? Have any of them visited Gettysburg? These MAGAs are out of their minds.

Federal aid money to help people get through disasters and inflation. If you want low or no taxes on the wealthy who actually cost us more in disaster relief than the average working woman or man, then stop asking for Federal tax dollars to keep bailing you out of your greed and power-grab bad decisions.

Once again, the disaster that IAN raged on FL is a painful, horrific event for the victims, some of which are my own family members. Today, the caravan of family heading south to help our family and others get back on their feet has had to reschedule its travelling plans because the weather is still a somewhat dangerous factor. But they will attempt to leave Wednesday. Positive vibes for them, please.
Now about those links: There are severe links for us blue state-ers to think about. Disasters like IAN will likely break the insurance companies for a while but insurance in blue states will rise as a result of those losses. There is no way these disasters do not affect us all.
Since there are limits to resources, there ought to be limits to growth in certain disaster areas. AND the same limits ought to apply to Blue states that are themselves experiencing the wear and tear of over-development on their aging infrastructures. Local official in counties in Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania, and the parts of New England need to look hard at how their limited spaces and resources are being over-developed as building codes and regulations are being eliminated or relaxed. Those outrageously expensive new condos, apartments, and single family homes that are being thrown up within a few months and made out paper thin dry wall and inferior wood with little or no brick and mortar and inferior steel from abroad are disasters waiting to happen WHEN mother nature aims her climate arrows more inward from the coastal areas. DEREGULATION and GREED are coming to eventually get us all.
