CEOs and their bankers and brokers for just passing our money around, personal investments, and charging outrageous fees for banking services. That's what the Congress should be looking at.
As well, the same salary and other outrageous benefits for corporate CEOs for corporations seeking government bailouts and subsidies should be reigned in. All of this should be done by governments world-wide to stem the tide of money being sent off-shore while the ordinary citizens of these countries are suffering from environmental abuses caused by their governments and corporations and the theft of natural resources belonging to the people of those nations. RISE UP and give the corrupt and greedy no place to hide.

My rant for the week. I was feeling depressed about what has happened to our country since Trump.
I talked to myself and scolded myself. Watching fools on TV keep saying they will vote for Trump again and that Biden did not win...yes, even today. So here is my message to myself. Look in for what it's worth.

For sure, nothing will change IF WE GIVE UP. We must vote in state and ALL local elections.
Been saying this since I first joined DU ... long time ago, way before HRC was a candidate. Before Obama was a candidate. Seems like most folks didn't care then.
It's different now. Now most people see how their lives are affected by corruption and greed. A lot of us have learned that killing off the "good" in pursuit of the "perfect" is not a winning nor wise strategy. We have also learned that our institutions are not designed to nor will they save us from the tyrants unless we take a stronger stand for honest, competent citizens at the helm. And that help and stability is NOT going to come from straight, white, "Christian" men alone. It is going to take honesty and competence from women and men of multiple ethnicities, multiple genders, multiple sexualities, multiple religions including non-religious persons, and multiple cultures. In short, it will take all the "wokeness" we can muster and master.
We MUST NOT be fearful of learning about each others' concerns, history, desires, and talents. And, at the risk of being chided for throw back, WE ARE STRONGER TOGETHER! Never forget it!
DO NOT SHUT UP! CHEER UP! GET UP! WAKE UP! AND STAND UP!
Many American's have a love affair with crime and corruption.
They just don't like it when POC commit crime.
Think who the heroes are or were: Al Capone, Billy the Kid, Jesse James, all things mafia, the Bundys, Jim and Tammy, Trump, Nixon,
the Watergate plumbers. Americans especially love crimes against their own government for good or evil, right or left. Now their love affair with tyrants is showing through.
Biden and the Dems in Congress should jump on the debt limit right now.
The recent failure of two tech banks, whether true or not, is sending a message to consumers the our financial house is not in order. I do not think it is a huge problem but perception is 9/10 of reality. Not raising the debt limit or even threatening to not raise the debt limit with a clean bill will cause even more panic once the issue hits the news stream as we get closer to the drop dead date.
The GQP would dare to throw the country into hysteria by not passing the debt limit????
The the message go out now that THEY and THEY alone would be responsible for the horror that would follow.
