If it's a 'copy that's been sent to you' that 'forensic' evidence will not necessarily be available because copies can be created to look however a creator wants them to, in terms of their metadata.

Also could be they simply refused to forward copies of any email where the word 'Pence' appears. However that would likely prove pretty detectable because you'd almost surely have to break up email 'chains' and thus you'd find illogical gaps if you scrutinized the flow ...

Like So:

1) Email From X to Y
Hey Y you guys gonna come to the picnic on Sunday?

2) Email From Y to X (not forwarded to the HSPIC)
For Sure, Us and the Pences will be there! Can't Wait!

3) Email from X to Y
Great, so that's 4 of you then, or you both bringing your Kids?

e.g. if they sent 1 & 3 to the Committee w/o 2, it's gonna be obvious. It'd be classic if they F'd up that bad. Or if a review shows that some nonsensical word appears all over the place, like 'we're meeting up with the Frankens after church Sunday in Indianapolis'.
