Doodley, my husband is a lifelong Democrat who voted for 45 and STILL supports him. It has definitely changed our relationship, and I don't see how it can ever return to how it once was.

I'm amazed on a daily basis at how he can overlook or ignore the facts right in front of us. A couple of weeks ago I downgraded our cable to basic so we no longer get fauxnews. I'm hoping that it reduces the amount of garbage that he hears, but I suspect that he's still listening to right wing radio when he's out and about.

At this point I don't think any news could come out about 45 that would change his mind. It truly is like he has been taken in by a cult.
Like your wife, he has ridiculous responses to news that's disparaging to 45. We don't fight as much now as we did last year, but there's an awful tension in the air.

Every day I wonder what the hell happened to my husband's brain.
