AUTOMATED MESSAGE: Results of your Jury Service

Mail Message
At Sat Jul 28, 2012, 01:26 PM an alert was sent on the following post:

And if you don't want to follow Skinner's rules, get the fuck off his website!
http://www.democraticunderground.com/?com=view_post&forum=1002&pid=1037382

REASON FOR ALERT:

This post is disruptive, hurtful, rude, insensitive, over-the-top, or otherwise inappropriate. (See Community Standards.)

ALERTER'S COMMENTS:

This is clear abuse of another DUer.

You served on a randomly-selected Jury of DU members which reviewed this post. The review was completed at Sat Jul 28, 2012, 01:35 PM, and the Jury voted 3-3 to LEAVE IT.

Juror #1 voted to HIDE IT and said: Take a walk before you hit the send button.
Juror #2 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE and said: No more disruptive and rude than posting spoilers, and Skinner did say not to do it. Of course, he could clean up his language a bit, but I digress.
Juror #3 voted to HIDE IT and said: No explanation given
Juror #4 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE and said: Harsh language does not in and of itself make for abuse. As HuckleB might say; 'don't go online if you don't want to see harsh language'.
Juror #5 voted to HIDE IT and said: Seriously, is that the way you want to be treated yourself? We all must learn to act decently even when we think the other person is soooo wrong.
Juror #6 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE and said: In this instance I will let it stay. "Get the fuck off" is less insulting than "fuck off", and given the context, well, I have to agree with the comment (though the fuck wasn't really necessary).

Thank you very much for participating in our Jury system, and we hope you will be able to participate again in the future.

Agreed. Put all those asinine posts in one thread that people can choose to go into. GodlessBiker Jul 2012 #1
If you don't want spoilers, don't go online. HuckleB Jul 2012 #2
meh -- it's also quite simple to put a spoiler alert in a subject line fishwax Jul 2012 #3
It's also pointless. HuckleB Jul 2012 #4
no, it's courteous fishwax Jul 2012 #5
What would be courteous is to not throw a temper tantrum because one went online and ...... HuckleB Jul 2012 #7
Yes, that would be courteous. It would also be courteous to keep spoilers out of subject lines. fishwax Jul 2012 #8
If one is online, it's actually mildly difficult to avoid spoilers of any kind. HuckleB Jul 2012 #12
Actually, it wouldn't be difficult at all if one poster would simply edit their subject lines fishwax Jul 2012 #15
It's fairly simple when a handful of idiot 4chan refugees aren't being d-bags. Lizzie Poppet Jul 2012 #17
I think both sides have some responsibility here. Skinner Jul 2012 #10
Maybe early on in the Internet age, but not anymore. HuckleB Jul 2012 #11
It's really not that difficult to put spoilers in the message body rather than the subject line. Skinner Jul 2012 #14
Knowing that anyone who goes online is already ensuring that they are likely to see results... HuckleB Jul 2012 #18
Skinner disagrees. (nt) Posteritatis Jul 2012 #19

LOL! HuckleB Jul 2012 #23
Easily amused, aren't you? Perhaps when Skinner responded "SELF-DELETE THAT SHIT RIGHT NOW!" 11 Bravo Jul 2012 #24
