I am not saying the procedures were incorrect - or even that the outcome would necessarily be different on appeal.

My point is that this is the beginning of the process, not the final outcome. It is relatively common for search warrants to be found invalid on appeal - and that progressives (who are often the target of an overreaching government) - ought to be attentive to the possibility that such overreaches are not limited to those targeted at us.
