(179,665 posts)I was a Clinton delegate to the National Convention. On the first night, my whip informed us that in 15 to 30 minutes, the Sanders delegates would stage a mass booing of Congressman John Lewis. This was a pre-planned stunt by the Sanders delegates that even the Clinton campaign knew about. I later found out that Sanders was asked to stop this stunt and refused.
Can you answer:
1. Why did Sanders support or not try to stop this stunt?
2. Do you think that it would be appropriate to use the video of this stunt if Sanders runs in 2020 together with the video of Sanders delegates bragging how happy they were to attack Congressman John Lewis? For example quotes from these JPR posters would be fun to use https://jackpineradicals.com/boards/topic/hey-john-lewis-karmas-a-mf-aint-it/
My whip is working for the Texas Democratic Party and he would have a great time describing this stunt.
