(8,200 posts)He had fought in the Battle of the Bulge. He said that the rarest thing to find after the war was a Nazi. Nobody admitted that they saw what was happening as they rounded up their Jewish neighbors who had lived among them for generations. This is a actual fact in that in one neighborhood in which at least twelve families that had been arrested in broad daylight not one German admitted that they knew anything about it. My cousin was in intelligence and he was assigned to a fact finding commission to assess what the level of complacency had been tolerated by the citizens. He pasted away only three years ago and remained to his death appalled at what had transpired among educated, supposedly Christians. I wonder if we are living in the same environment that will allows us to be blind to the injustices that the Republicans are demonstrating. It is not just limited to the undocumented immigrants, but to our Black, Hispanic, Asian, Gay, etc. citizens.
