It seems like this would hurt his chances to be re-elected by subbing a surrogate, especially after he posted pictures of himself in the arena earlier today where the debate was taking place which IMHO leads people in attendance and voters that he is excited to be there for the debate itself. I've never seen such a thing done before and am unaware if this is actually allowed or if he is automatically DQ'ed from the debate. (sorry so long winded there.)
