Regionally, the story is a big deal. From the Ohio group

Ohio State University announced in April that it was investigating accusations that Dr. Richard Strauss, who died in 2005, abused team members when he was the team doctor from the mid-1970s to late 1990. As of Friday, Jordan had not been questioned by the university-hired lawyers

3 former wrestlers told NBC News it was common knowledge that Strauss showered regularly w/ the students & inappropriately touched them during appointments, & said it would have been impossible for Jordan to be unaware; one wrestler said he told Jordan directly about the abuse (link:

The university is almost the civic religion of central Ohio. You can start conversation about college sports & the weather anywhere .

The tentacles of this story goes back to the first time Gordon Gee was OSU president during this time. Current guy is Michael Drake. The blanketing of this is going to be a problem for OSU.
