6. Better question, what does all this say about OURSELVES?

We should all have one standard for all candidates, operatives and factions in all parties.

So I reject the premise of the OP entirely. Passing off our individual failures on "our country," is always profoundly dishonest, as is trying to pretend that everyone participates in these political crimes when there are always many who do not.

Most Republicans are way beyond on the pale on this subject, of course. Double standards are as necessary to their dishonest constructs as mortar is to brick walls.

But even a lot of people on the left, including some Democrats, had, and still have, a special standard created just for Hillary. She could never have gotten away with some of the stuff her Teflon opponent has. The woman would have been tarred and feathered with it and whipped out of town at the cart's tail.

This is all about our own honesty, each of us.
