Police are investigating a shooting that left an 8-year-old with a gunshot wound just before 8 p.m. Sunday in north St. Louis.

You can spend hours reading all these heartbreaking stories and it packs quite an emotional punch.
I agree with you that there are fundamental societal problems that must be addressed - it just seems like there is a national conversation that needs to be happening that isn't.

Houston Texas is pretty close to the Chicago population and has about 550 shootings per year.
