... and he doesn't go beyond that. I don't see Chuck Todd listening or reacting to anything that's being said in the interview. Maybe he isn't terrible, but he rarely goes for the "gotcha" questions. It just means he's boring and predictable.

But on the other hand, it's possible that Todd avoids the "gotcha" stuff because he interviews people on Meet The Press who would never agree to be on the show if he did that. I think Tim Russert also had that friendly, non-threatening manner and that's why he was popular during his time on the show.
