There is a silver lining to Trump. We are looking at a blue wave and the opportunity, if we play our cards properly, to hold power for some time. The house and senate are a must. If we follow that with the Presidency we can accomplish a lot.
I love Clinton and wish she was our President. She should be. I also understand the nightmare a Clinton Presidency would have been. Including on this very discussion board. As someone who has great respect, admiration, and even love for HRC; I don't even consider her when thinking about the Presidency. I'm beyond happy there is no constitutional mechanism that would install her if trump is impeached for collusion or treason.
When we gain control, Democrats must pass the most aggressive voting rights act in history. Push the bounds of federal power with respect to voting. Push the bounds of the constitution. We must also hold aggressive investigations into many elections and voting in the country overall. With the demographic changes in the country we must change the way voting happens.
We are in a bad situation. I'm highly confident we are in a better electoral position now than if she was elected.
