11. No chance...Cruz would take policy further right than Trump

In one significant area after another.

I still view him as the most dangerous person who has ever been a serious challenger for president in my lifetime. Cruz is a nutcase but it wouldn't be as obvious as Trump in office. He could easily have served two terms and done decades worth of damage. It would be going on quietly as far as the country is concerned. The GOP approval rating would be much higher and our midterm edge not nearly as great. Millennials would not be as opposed to Cruz as Trump.

Any comparison that flatters Ted Cruz is misplaced. I'm still thrilled we managed to avoid him. Once the GOP nomination narrowed to those two the outcome was going to be devastating if either one managed the White House.
