10. I hope everyone can pause to consider the years she must have spent

wondering, worrying, what her son was going through. I know she was supported by military friends and family whose understanding and traditions I will never know, but there had to have been middle-of-the-night hours when that just wasn't enough. Nevertheless, she persisted.
