23. I used to be an Independent, but strongly leaned toward the Democrats.

My first vote for President was for Kennedy and I have voted only for Democratic presidential candidates. I was of the mind set that I should consider the qualifications of the candidate before party. However, beginning with Nixon and followed by Reagan and the Bushes, I became increasingly convinced that not a single Republician candidate for any office deserved my vote. The Republicans inability to hold any of their members accountable for outright crimes and abuses of office convinced me that their party doesn't have moral base.

It has gotten progressively worse since I cast that first ballot to the point that they nominated a man for president and succeeded in getting him elected who is the living epitome of evilness. Not, some flaw as all are subject to, but a person of total of moral turpitude. It is inconceivable that a man such as Trump, who is a prime example of abject depravity, would be welcomed as their standard barer. It can only be concluded that a major number of the citizens of our nation, a nation which has been the example of the quest for equal treatment and justice for all mankind, has degenerated to the level that would not only tolerate, but sanctify the leadership of a man of absolute moral depravity.

I have seen candidate after Republican candidate worship and seek the endorsement of a degenerate like imps' adulation and celebration of the personification of evilness. These are not the lowlife, immoral degenerates, but those held in honor including Christian leaders of their communities. The conclusion if this: the Republican Party has hit rock bottom and is morally bankrupt. It is of no wonder that they would enrich the wealthy at the expense of the working class and take delight in depriving millions of basic medical care. They drip with hatred and contempt without a shred of compassion for their fellow mankind as they gleefully strangle the powerless to enrich themselves.

I have come to the conclusion that a vote for any Republican has become vote for the tolerance of lawless and unrestricted immorality.
