44. Wow! 150 lbs in one year. Congratulations to you!

I admit I go back and forth on this one. I am 67 and just started last Friday a new daily plan of eating (not diet) designed to help me lose 50 lbs. I am overweight and know it. Some years ago I lost 40 lbs over 9 months, but then went back to my old habits and ignored getting on the scale and kept telling myself I will start next...paying attention to what I eat/drink. Gained it all back and then some.

So. I do not want to be an overweight old lady. I am trying to change using that description from "fat" to overweight when related to health descriptions and lose it when dissing someone--like 45--who can be dissed for so many other reasons. I don't take insults about weight targeted at someone else personally. In 45's case, as others have said, he dishes it out so it's a little like just giving him a taste of his own medicine.
