What so many folks are not seeing or refuse to accept is that the writing is on the wall. The fix is in and has been in for a long time. This is years in the making by the fanatical right-wing dark money holders in this country. With Putin on their side and a man as corrupt and evil as Trump, their stark, horrific worldview and destruction of America as we know it will come to fruition. (For example, just as we are all focusing on SCOTUS, 100s of children who should be reunited with their parents were moved to a tent city in Texas. Their evil knows no bounds.)

Two people everyone should be following on Twitter and listening to are Malcolm Nance and Sarah Kendzior. Both have been warning about this for the past two years and both are right. The only reason Trump has not fired Rosenstein (and ultimately shut down the Russian investigation) is because his handlers have told him not to worry and he can wait a bit. Kavanaugh installed means Trump will go nowhere and our country is basically gone. Also, do not be shocked when we don't win back the house or the Senate. My tinfoil hat is quite lovely, thank you, but I believe beyond a shadow of a doubt that Russians hacked and changed votes in voting machines in 2016 and they will do it again this November. All you have to do is look at the pattern of behavior by Lindsey Graham and others to see that a large majority of the GOP is compromised, complicit, and actively working as Trump's flying monkeys. They have refused to give money to help secure our elections. They don't want them secured for a very obvious reason. And Hatch is trying to push through a bill that would make it possible for Trump to pardon state crimes. He'll get it passed and Trump and his kids will be untouchable. So will Manafort, etc. Roger Stone is cocky for a reason.

So, bottom line is: Kavanaugh will be installed, our institutions will continue to crumble and Mueller is not going to save us. Best we can all do is keep fighting locally - and definitely vote. The more of us who vote, the more obvious it will be they cheated. But cheat they will.

Winter is here for good, sadly. I'm already resigned to the fact that I will have work until I'm dead because Social Security will be gone. So will many of our rights.
