9. I'm so sorry about your friend, and especially for her husband and kids

What a horrible shock. And so needless.

Maybe in her case she had good insurance and was only trying to cure the UTI naturally for philosophical reasons, but it's so sad to think of all the people who don't go to the doctor for financial reasons and try natural treatments because they can't afford a bill. Until recently this would have been me, too, trying to grit my teeth and power through it and trying to take care of myself at home.

I don't want to make this political, but in a country where getting medical care is so dependent on one's socioeconomic situation, what happened to your friend is way too common, and not always due to misinformation.

I am so sorry. It's tragic for everyone who loved and still loves her, and extra heartbreaking that her death was so preventable.
