On the one hand, I think he should go and listen to what the community there has to say. On the other hand, his rhetoric is vile (along with everything else about him) and I completely understand why people would not want him there. But there is still some gravitas about the office itself (extremely tarnished though it may be), and I think if the rabbi from the synagogue is saying he would welcome the visit, then that counts for something. Though I recognize that others in the community are opposed. So I guess I would say I am torn.
