(175,579 posts)But I will not vote for sanders in the primary and will support a number of the candidates who will be running against him. sanders ranks near the bottom or at the bottom of the people who are rumored to be running. The only possible candidate behind sanders in my opinion is Avanitti
To run, sanders will have to release five or ten years of tax returns to get onto the ballot in several key blue states. It would be interesting to see these returns (there has to be a reason why sanders hid these returns earlier). Under the new DNC rules, sanders has to formally join the party and become a true member of the party and agree to run as a member. sanders is not doing this in Vermont and that has hurt the party.
I doubt that sanders will run and if he does, I do not believe that he has a realistic chance of being the nominee. There are many democrats who believe that sanders hurt Clinton and that sanders is the reason why trump won in 2016.
