216. Unreal. The daughter of two SELF MADE American succes stories, and she's treated like Bush.

I was thinking about the vitriol on DU this week about Chelsea and how well she's turned out, in spite of growing up in a fish bowl, being personally attacked by the right for everything from her looks, to her intelligence.

And I remembered. Her Father became President, after being enduring abuse at home, growing up with nothing, and somehow getting into college, and becoming President. Hillary Clinton came from a good home, but she was NOT American Royalty in the least.. she did not have a bloodline OR an oil line behind her.

Chelsea is the product of two people that realized the American Dream, by their own smarts and hard work. Why in the world would people be shitting on what she's accomplished?

And when Malia and Sasha Obama turn out just as successful, will you be hating on them, too?
