33. It would be interesting to understand their thought process

They were on the path to pass continuing resolutions to keep the gov't open. Then the right wing media got involved. And everyone changed their minds.

They must think the Dems will cave. Repugs don't care about working people so they don't care if the gov't workers get paid. I think they are counting on the Dems deciding enough is enough and giving in.

Maybe the house should hold hearings on the wall. Bring in engineers to explain how it will cost more than $5 billion and will take 10 years or more to build. Talk about cost to maintain. Bring in experts to explain how ineffective the wall is at stopping people. And then talk about how effective we can be at using technology to fight illegal immigration.

Let's debate the merits of the wall and show how both strategically and economically it's a really bad idea.
