....I said what I said as a white dude roughly the same age and background as Beto.

I realize I should be over the fucking moon about a presidential candidate who talks about the influence of Dischord Records on his life and who played in a punk band and who has friends in the scene I came up in and still have connections to. But unfortunately I need a little more substance than that, and I personally need someone who is more left of center to get my primary support and I'm also immediately uninterested in someone who basks in the whole notion of "rising above partisan politics" or "reaching across the aisle" or whatever else he's going on about.

But I'd absolutely vote for him without hesitation in the GE, and as I said I think he's probably the biggest threat to Republicans for the very same reasons he doesn't particularly appeal to me.
