as it seems to be after Obama and now with tRump in the WH.
I was shocked when I heard a man I had known for years used the "N" word in my presence. His wife was appalled and was embarrassed as all hell. The husband was not the least bit concerned and frankly did not seem to notice how his wife and I felt as he spewed birther crap.
I have to say that people I had known for years said and did things that made me realize that they down deep were bigots of the worse kind.
Maybe I was naive, but some of what I heard shocked me -- a lot due to the fact that some had hidden their true feelings very well.
