They simply looked ridiculous. The other R's were so NOT up to the effort they failed to even attend a lot of these hearings or left after Meadows or Jordan tried and failed to derail the hearings.

So, no.. Even if it never went past days or weeks of televised Impeachment hearings and the public saw the total inability of the R's to defend what has been documented on the record--to a Senate vote, the record would be made. The public would see the truth and ONLY those who refuse to believe facts at all (which is MOST but not ALL of Trump's supporters) would remain unphased.

Even if you want to look at it from a purely tactical advantage, the evidence presented 24/7 from House Impeachment hearings on tv and from the pundits at night prior to 2020 would be devastating. I like to think I hold a higher ground than that to justify impeachment hearings, but pragmatically, it is likely true. This isn't Clinton lying about consensual sexual acts. This is lying about Russian involvement in delivering the LAST election and the corrupt nature of our current administration.
