39. Do you want the American people to support the Dems. ?

I agree with all of you what a horrible person and a danger to our country. If Pelosii calls for a vote on impeachment next week and the House votes to impeach, what then? The Senate is not going to vote to convict Trump and the Articles of Impeachment become just a piece of paper.

The farmer in his field in Ohio or the waiter at the local diner doesn't know what the facts are that brought about the Impeachment. They may agree with the polls that show 57% of the public believe Trump lied about what's in the Mueler report, and they probably a big part of the 56% of the public don''t think the President should be impeached. They are the "silent majority".
And they are ignorant. Ignorant is not the same thing as stupid. They just have not been educated (about the facts set out in the Report).

Pelosi wants to educate them through hearings that are in process and are going to be on TV, radio, on the internet and every newspaper in the country. She is counting on that education to gain all the support she can to get Trump out of office through impeachment or the next election. (Impeachment will still be possible if the people can see how horrible and crooked Trump is and pressure 22 or so Senators to vote to impeach)

I think Trump will get us in a war, but not with foreign adversary. He will start a civil war or insurrection. Lets hope that enough of the citizenry will have been educated before that happens and a large majority (80 or 90%) will be on our side. That is the reason Nancy wants the facts revealed in a way that the facts thrown down the throats of the silent majority. Get the facts out in a way that the all of the citizenry will be aware of them. They will then be educated, not ignorant.

I wrote a piece a year so ago "From Democracy to Dictatorship". The administrators on DU sent it back to me and said they had elected not to publish it. Understandably because at that time everyone was underestimating how low Trump would stoop. Things have changed in a hurry. Now everyone is talking about Trump becoming a dictator. Lying, breaking laws, ignoring court orders, ordering subordinates to lie. When told by staff he would breaking the law his response has been "I don't care".

Some excerpts from my article last year;

More recently he has said he has the military, police across the country, and Trump motorcycle gangs - all of them very tough and if the deep state and Democrats attempt to remove him from office, "it wil bad, very bad, very bad".

All of the alt-right pundits, Hannity, Rush Limbaugh, Lara Ingraham, Bill O'Rielly, and Roger Stone have all said we will have civil war. Roger Stone told the American public that if they didn't own a gun they needed to buy one, a semi-automatic, because we were going to have war "like we have never seen before". A conservative radio talk show host said he tells friends and family to do 2 things, vote and buy a gun. He and Alex Jones of "Info Wars" were seen at a gun range practicing "for what is to come".

I wrote that article a long time before Trumps long time attorney and "fixer", Michel Cohen told the House Oversight Committee in his closing remarks "if the president doesn’t win re-election in 2020, there will not be a “peaceful transition of power.”
