4. Because of Mueller's stature . . .

his public testimony would be the most effective. His reasoning to testify in private as a way of 'avoiding a public, political spectacle' falls flat for me. The last 3 years has already been a public, political spectacle, a circus of no end.

That being said, short of the public testimony, the immediate release of his words and thoughts would be paramount. This is a man who spent 2 years in the muck of Donald Trump's odious legacy. The public needs to hear every word and have those words shouted from the rooftops. It makes no difference if Barr and Trump and the Republicans have moved on. There's a reason for that: their own complicity in damaging the country and installing an illegitimate president in the White House.

Democrats have not surrendered the issue; the investigations are ongoing, court decisions are being rendered and Trump continues to exhibit consciousness of guilt every day. As far as convincing Republicans? That's a fool's errand since their continuing complicity is threatened by Trump's exposure.

Mueller is old news only if Trump's treasonous behavior is old news. There's no true Democrat who believes that.

Mueller's televised testimony would make it "real" for the millions guillaumeb May 2019 #1

If Barr, Rosenstein, Whitaker, or trump shut it down, Mueller should have said so earlier, or today. Hoyt May 2019 #26
