(805 posts)a hiatus from all of the hubbub. I am amazed at the obsessing. Heck, the field is so cluttered, and I am too old and experienced to tolerate the back-biting and in-fighting that is going on. What is with the ubiquitous sense of urgency? I attribute it to 'puppy breathed' newly aware voters.
I voted in my first election in 1972, (for McGovern) and I have seen a lot, including disappointing results.
So, this being the Summer Solstice, I have decided to take the next 3 months to rediscover my center, enjoy the season, and recharge.
I feel assured, that much of this will still be here in September, when the equinox occurs.
Hopefully many of the ill-advised contenders will fall by the wayside, and the choice will be clearer then.
This tome may seem harsh to some, but I do suggest taking a step back, a deep breath, and contemplating what is important.
