(4,858 posts)...really, anyone who believes in expertise, science, reason, and the principles of liberal democracy. It doesn't bother me if Dems in reddish areas are to my right; it's the only way they can win there. I'm an eclectic--a moderate, "conservative" on some issues, "liberal" on others...but radical when it comes to the threat to democracy the GOP poses. For instance--I'm open to the idea occasionally put forth that Trump's "judges" need to be removed, because his whole supposed presidency is a conspiracy of treason. Sooner or later we'll have to do something about the far-right, Federalist Society fascist judiciary. On the other hand, the people I'd like to see on the bench would be moderates--a court of David Souters would suit me just fine. I doubt that "a certain person" will win the nomination. But I'll vote, with enthusiasm or without, for whomever we nominate...
