(7,229 posts)as I drive to work in the morning. It used to be entirely ad-free, but a few months ago they started to slip in one short ad in the 40-minute block. I don't watch cable anymore; it's unwatchable. (The endless repetitive drug and insurance commercials drive me round the bend.) The podcast is a great option, and fortunately, she doesn't depend on a lot of visuals.
I think Rachel's ratings are falling because of Trump fatigue. They'll probably pick back up in the 2020 election season. If a Democrat is elected, her ratings will roll downhill because she's at her best when exposing the depravity of Republican leaders. That's just how it is.
I may stop listening to her after Trump is out of office. She's can be too didactic at times, and I don't care for her interviews because she seems to do all the talking.
