that excess profits that come out of our pockets (from purchases of goods and services) are turned against us via the support of right-wing governments around the globe, and to provide extreme largess for the ultra-wealthy - a practice our planet cannot support forever.

Further, that very wealth that we gave them seems to bring in a mindset that their wealth entitles them to more control than average citizens. In other words, power in proportion to wealth rather than in proportion to population.

The GOP will say that adjusting tax laws so that the super-rich pay their share is "socialism." It is not. It is capitalism as it was practiced in the US until just the last few decades. They will say measures to rein in the power of big corporations is socialism.

Such bullshit and deception. Taxing the wealthy actually is an element of capitalism because of the many, many ways governments provide support for capitalism.
