Someone seems to be functioning well but they are actually making accommodations for what they can no longer do. Then they get to a tipping point when it starts to unravel very, very quickly. There was no doubt in my mind what was happening to Twitler from the moment I saw him use two hands to pick up a glass of water and take a drink. I saw my mom go through the same thing.
