8. It goes without saying...

That's junk food for the mind. Watching it and giving it any credence, (pro or con) just makes it seem relevant when it is just a faction of a certain kind of rather mindless, blathering bias and sensational opinion.

Some of the kinds of shows and news we have supports the very problems we face in both subtle and overt ways. Even the level of the vocabulary is often limited and grade school.

Talking heads are mostly useless unless that entertains you. The fallacy of appealing to non-experts on important issues is another matter and renders those opinions moot by comparison.

Tune out.
